The Final Post

The one thing that I learned in my time here at Sheridan that I will never forget is that not everyone wants to be in the news.

I always thought that everyone wanted to be in the news if it helped promote something that they were involved in, or even if the article was about them themselves. But no. People will still not respond to you or give you excuses as to why they can't talk to you. It baffles me, really.

If I'm writing about something good and not bashing on anyone, why can't they just respond? Even if it's just to say that they are too busy that's fine by me.

I wanted to work for the magazine Cosmopolitan for a couple years now but after writing in the lifestyles section for the Sheridan news paper, I don't think I would be able to handle it anymore. Sources are hard to get into contact with, there are only so many things to write about before it starts becoming redundant and repetitive and it can be very redundant and repetitive.

Over the past two years here at Sheridan I've met and interviewed some amazing people and for that, I say thank you for being the ones who too the time to speak with me. There are some articles that I just loved writing about and most of it had to do with the sources that I got to speak with.

My interview with the band Flogging Molly, I will always remember. It was laid back yet professional and one of my favourite experiences. It made me realize that I could also get into writing about music and bands.

Thank you Sheridan for being my favourite school in my entire life. I loved this schools atmosphere and I will miss the teachers and students in it very dearly.
